Last August, Pandigital released three tablets with astronomical names. Now, Pandigital releases another one named…SuperNova. The tablet is an 8-incher with a $229 price tag.
The SuperNova boasts 1GHz Samsung S5PV210 processor, 800×600 resolution, capacitive multitouch display, 512MB RAM, 4GB storage. It runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Connectivities like WiFi, Bluetooth 2,1 and micro-HDMI and microSD ports.
The Supernova is a general purpose tablet. It will ship without access to Google Android Market and other Google-based apps like Gmail and Google Maps. GetJar app store is available though. Barnes & Noble eBook app also comes preloaded.
This tablet could be a tough sell since Ideapad A1 and Kindle Fire are now selling below $200.
