When IdeaPad A1 was first introduced it boasts a fairly low price of under $200 for an Android device.
Now there are several Android tablets that boasts the same price range like the Amazon Kindle Fire and Huwaei MediaPad. The latter blows away the A1 while the former is supported by a huge marketplace and cloud services. The A1 is also a WiFi only device and that may not attract more customers than it should be.
Now, Lenovo is announcing that the price of IdeaPad A1 is starting at $229. The reason behind the price hike is not even known.
