Microsoft has now confirmed the release of Windows 8 Beta next year at February. Early rumors pegged the brand new OS' beta to be released around January-February and the rumors are pretty much accurate.
The Windows 8 Developer Beta has already been released for months now and had been downloaded over 3 million times. Releasing the Windows 8 public beta is a whole new different story, since the beta is much more closer to the release candidate than the developer beta.
It is not yet known if Windows 8 will be offered to ARM-based tablets with a complete Windows desktop experience.
