A Glimpse at the Samsung Series 7 Slate PC

We've seen a lot of tablets in the market that run mostly on Google Android, iOS, or other operating systems for mobile devices. However, the Samsung Series 7 Slate PC sets as it is operated by genuine Windows 7, giving familiar and effective working solution. In addition, it also offers a wide choice on input devices for total convenience.

Series 7 weighs only 1.8 lbs and measures 11.6×7.2×0.5 inches. It has a dark gray brushed-aluminum finish with a chrome Samsung Insignia at the center. Three sets of vents run across the tablet's middle to keep the device from overheating, while a medium-sized speaker sits at the top with a 3-megapixel camera. The front of the Series 7 Slate PC, on the other hand, has a thin strip of aluminum surrounding the display's glossy black bezel. A 2-MP camera sits at the top of the bezel, while a Windows button is at the bottom. Physical buttons for power and screen orientation lock sit on the right side of the slate, while the volume buttons reside on the left.

The Series 7 Slate is equipped with a 1.6-GHz Intel Core i5 2467M CPU with 4GB of RAM and a 128GB SSD. Samsung's FastStart technology allows booting into Windows 7 Home Premium in 29 seconds, and waking from sleep in approximately 2 to 3 seconds.

The Series 7 Slate sells for $1149. It may not be the best Windows-based tablet released, but this is certainly worth a look for business users. Besides, its Core i5 processor has more than enough power to take care of productivity needs
