The ASUS Eee Pad Transformer has finally reached UK and it is now available for Pre-Order. With its stylish slate and keyboard dock combo setting, all are in for only £499.
The Transformer Prime runs on Quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A9, has 1 GB of RAM and a Super IPS+ LCD, capacitive touchscreen. While it is only 8.3 mm thick, it only weighs 1.3lb. Other features include microSD card slot, micro HDMI port and an 8MP camera with autofocus and LED flash. Moreover, the Transformer Prime is available in Amethyst Gray, Champagne Gold.
UK buyers will be getting the 32GB WI-Fi capable model only. However, there's no official word yet on when the Transformer Prime will be released, though there are rumors that it's likely to be in January, 2012. In addition, the Transformer Prime will come with an upgraded Android 4.0 software over the air from Android OS, v3.2 Honeycomb, so users will be able to enjoy Ice Cream Sandwich.
