Lenovo Teases Ideapad S110 Netbook

Many industry observers are scoffing at netbooks because of tablets and now ultrabooks. Now Intel starts shipping Cedar Trail chips and this could give the form factor a sort of revival. Lenovo calls the IdeaPad S110 as a "mini notebook" to distance itself from apparently a PR nightmare category: netbook. The N2600 Cedar Trail chip comes courtesy of two online retailers with specs that include a gig of RAM and an HD of 320GB. The machine is about 16mm thick, weighing at 1.15kg, USB 3.0, 10.1-inch HD screen and an optional 720p webcam as well as 3G connectivity. The S110 joins the Asus Eee PC 1025 and two upcoming Samsung netbooks on the Cedar Trail-tooting devices.

The new chipset and its graphical improvements will be a big leap from its previous generation. Pricing of this netbook is at $330 but Lenovo intends to sell this model at $299.
