The Wi-Fi only version of the Sony Tablet S has been available all over the world for a while now and the version that supports 3G is now available in the UK. You can now order the 3G-enabled Tablet S with 16 GB of internal storage for £100 more than the Wi-Fi only version.
In Sony's comparison table with the other Tablet S versions, it seems the only difference is the inclusion of 3G connectivity, and a slight difference in weight (the 3G tablet is 27 grams heavier). Other features of the Tablet S include:
- 1 GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor
- 1 GB RAM
- a 9.4-inch display with 1280 x 800 px resolution
- VGA front camera
- 5 MP rear camera
- SDHC slot for memory expansion
Sony Tablet S is a Honeycomb tablet. It's battery life is rated at 8 hours, and the device can double as an IR remote for various AV components.
