More and more gadgets specifically made for kids are produced these days. First, there were tablets with special protective cases. Now, there are netbooks made for entertaining children, such as Samsung's new product.
Their new netbook, called the NC110 – Pororo netbook, has a less expensive price tag than regular models. Nonetheless, it is fully functional for adult users too, and can handle their daily tasks. After all, once one gets past the colorful cartoon images on the case, the NC110 – Pororo netbook has specifications that are similar with regular laptops available today.
This netbook will have a second-generation dual-core Intel Atom cenral processing unit. Its screen is expected to measure 10.1 inches. It will also sport HDMI out and have Wi-Fi capabilities.
However, its primary selling point for children is the fact that the laptop is decorated with photos of Pororo, a popular cartoon figure for children in South Korea. On the Pororo netbook, kids can enjoy 114 episodes of the cartoon show. Games such as puzzles and one called "Pororo painted play" are also installed on the netbook.
The Samsung NC110 – Pororo netbook is expected to sell for around 509,000 South Korean Won, or approximately $452. It will be officially available on February 6th. Yet unknown if it will be available in other countries aside from South Korea.
