A lot of gadgets especially tablets nowadays are designed for kids and one of them is MEEP!from Oregon Scientific. This tablet was officially announced just recently with emphasis on being a "7-inch Wi-Fi tablet for kids with enhanced rubber silicon sleeve."
MEEP! tablet runs Android 4.0, but the system is actually locked to a special U.I. that Oregon Scientific has created. This U.I. cleans up the traditionally cluttered Android menus system and replaces it with a more minimalist, cover-flow style driven user interface. Standard features include the ability to play movies, read e-books, and listen to music. MEEP! also comes with special parental control software lets parents monitor their kids tablet remotely from any web browser. This feature is in addition to the ability to let parents control what their kids are doing on the tablet itself.
Oregon Scientific also plans to release a number of innovative accessories to compliment the MEEP! gadget which includes a roll up piano accessory, a microphone, drums, as well as a game pad accessory. There are no pricing information for this gadget as of yet.
