Ivy Bridge Ultrabooks Coming

PC vendors are charging 800-1900 bucks for ultrabooks. This new form factor features Intel processors. Prices of the current ultrabook models could really fall soon, in order to pave way to next-gen models.

Ultrabooks

Each and every ultrabook available in the market is powered by Intel Sandy Bridge processor, Core i5 or i7 chips. Intel should introduce the Ivy Bridge platform in April, and this could force the price to lower down up to 20-30% in March and April.

Today, HP Folio 13 and Acer Aspire S3 are the cheapest ultrabooks and could even be cheaper.

Of course, this is pure speculation but the previous gen always gets cheaper when the next gen arrives. So, common sense.

DigiTimes suggests that two of today's cheapest ultrabooks, the HP Folio 13 and Acer Aspire S3, could get even cheaper soon.

The case is likely that PC makers will introduce new ultrabooks with simple upgrade on current models. But it would be wiser for the companies to clear out existing inventory first.

Or you just could buy netbooks and ultraportable, for cheaper price.
