The Asus Eee PC 1025C is not shipping in the US yet but you can already pre-order it at J&R for $299.99. This netbook is one of the first netbooks in the market to be powered by an Intel Atom Cedar Trail processor.
This netbook has 1.6GHz Intel Atom N600 as its processor. It has a 10-inch display with 1024×600 resolution. A gig of RAM powers its memory and storage is at 320 GB HDD. The usual ports and connectivities include, Wifi, Ethernet, VGA, HDMI, SD card reader. Its two USB ports is at 3.0 speeds so that's a good sign.
This machine runs on Windows 7 Starter Edition and has a six-cell battery life which Asus says should let this netbook running for 12.5 hours runtime without the need of charging.
The laptop's dimensions is 10.3″ x 7″ x 1.35″ and weighs about 2.75 pounds.
Asus has another similar product to launch, the Eee PC 1025CE model with faster 1.86 GHz Intel Atom N2800 processor. This model is $20 more expensive than the 1025C.
