Gateway is releasing their first Cedar Trail netbook. It is priced at $280 at Best Buy. The Gateway LT4004u has the same price tag as the Acer Aspire One AOD270. Both of these netbooks are the cheapest netbooks with Cedar Trail as their processors.
The LT4004u is armed with Atom N2600 CPU running at 1.6GHz. It also has GMA 3600 graphics, a gig of RAM, 250GB HDD and a 6-cell battery that ccan provide the netbook 8 hours of autonomy. The previous generation of LT netbooks got no HDMI output. This one has it but the USB ports remain at 2.0 speed. The netbook weighs around 2.65 lbs. It is also 1″ thin. The chassis remained unchanged, it retains the same old LT series design.
