Epson has released a new range of laptop called the Endeavor Na14S in Japan. The system has a 10.1-inch 1024 x 600 LED-backlit display, a 1.5GHz Intel Atom N550 processor, an Intel NM10 Express Chipset, a 1GB of DDR3 RAM, and a 64GB SSD. It also has a DVD Super Multi Drive, a 3-in-1 card reader, Wi-Fi connectivity and runs on Windows 7 Starter.
Epson claims that the built-in 4400mAh Li-Ion battery has an autonomy period of up to 6.1 hours. Plus, this Intel NM10 Express Chipset-based netbook will supposedly ship with an already pre-installed copy of Microsoft's Windows 7 Starter operating system, so there's no need to buy another copy to install Windows.
There are three USB 2.0 ports, a Wireless LAN 802.11 b/g/n adapter, VGA-out, security lock slot and 3-in-1 memory card reader slot, so you can multitask and keep on working with multiple documents, pictures and many more files you can save up in the laptop.
According to the maker, this is a "special limited edition model" and it will be equipped with a low-power consumption Intel Atom N550 Central Processing Unit that incorporates two cores (4 threads via Intel's HyperThreading technology) clocked at 1.5GHz and the integrated GMA 3150 graphics controller.
It is now available in Japan for only 32,580 Yen, which is roughly $425.
