Chinavision has launched a new budget-friendly Android tablet called the Alphecca.
The tablet, which is branded as a portal to gaming, browsing, and multimedia entertainment, is equipped with a 7-inch capacitive multi-touch screen with a pixel display resolution of 800 x 480.
At its core is a 1GHz Vimicro VC0882 ARM Cortex-A8 processor coupled with 4 GB of storage capacity and 512 of RAM. Its operating system is Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It comes with several pre-loaded apps such as YouTube, MSN, and the Google Marketplace, allowing users to download third-party applications.
The tablet also carries support for a wide range of file types, giving users the convenience of playing these without the need for file conversion. Among these are MPEG4, MPEG2, FLV, WMV, 3GP, MKV, AVI, MP3, WAV, AAC, WMA, AAC+, and OGG.
The slate also has a microSD card slot with a capacity of up to 32 GB, a mini USB port, a 3.5 mm headphone in, built-in speakers, microphone, DC in, and an HDMI port. There is also a 0.3 MP front-facing camera and a micro SD card reader. Also, it is equipped with a 4500 mAh Battery.
The Chinavision Alphecca Android tablet sells for a discounted price of $129 from the original SRP of $161.25. Discounts are also given for bulk orders.
