After being officially unveiled at the CES 2012 fair last week, Asus' Eee PC X101CH and Eee PC 1025C notebooks are now available for pre-order in the US.
For only $269, you can get the Eee PC X101CH, powered by an Intel Atom N2600 dual-core processor clocked at 1.66GHz, with 1GB of system memory and a 320GB hard drive. The X101CH comes with 802.11n Wi-Fi, low-res webcam and a 3-cell battery that can doperate for up to 4 hours.
Meanwhile, the Eee PC 1025C that costs $299 also boasts the same Intel Atom N2600 processors as well as 320GB hard drive. However, this machine includes a 6-cell battery, which Asus claims to deliver up to 4 hours of autonomy.
Both systems sport a 10.1-inch LED-backlit display with a native resolution of 1024×600. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 3.0 as well as an HDMI output. They also support for the WiFi Direct technology that allows users to share date between devices without the need of a wireless access point.However, the real star is the Intel N2600 processor, which is designed to bring enhanced multimedia capabilities.
There's no word on when the two netbooks will be shipped to the US. So customers may have to wait a bit longer before they could get their hands on one of these awesome machines.
