MSI has just released its new 17.3-inch gaming notebook, the GT783. This laptop is built around Intel's Core i7 Sandy Bridge processors as well as on Nvidia's high performance GeForce GTX 580M dedicated graphics card.
While it weighs around 3.9Kg, or 8.6 pounds, the GT783 was built with SteelSeries to offer better keyboard functionality to most gamers. Thus, the GT783's keyboard is fully backlit and comes with an optimized design, including better key placement for easier WASD access, enlarged CTRL and ALT keys as well as 3-zone backlit illumination.
Under the hood, the MSI notebook sports Intel's Core i7 Sandy Bridge quad-copre processors with Hyper-Threading support. This can be pairedup to 32GB of RAM. The MSI GT783 can be configured to have as much as two hard drives with a spindle speed of 7200RPM, installed in a RAID 0 configuration, bringing up to 1.5TB of storage space. Optional Intel SSD drives are also available with a Blu-ray combo drive to replace the standard DVD Super Multi ODD.
For its graphics, its Nvidia GTX 580M is coupled with 2GB of fast GDDR5 video buffer. Its audio sub-system, on the other hand, has two standard speakers as well as a Dynaudio subwoofer.
Other features includes a 17.3-inch display with a 1920×1080 Full HD resolution, a pair of USB 3.0 ports, eSATA and Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity, HDMI 1.4 and VGA video outputs, an HD webcam as well as a 9-cell battery pack.
There's no clear details on the GT783 's availability or pricing. However, while its expected to be expensive, it would be best for buyers to prepare huge amount of cash.
