Dell Streak 7 Can Run Android 4.0

Dell Streak 7 was a favorite among early tablet adopters. For those who hid their 7-inchers out of obscurity, be pleased. Hackers are able to install Android 4.0 to the device. The Streak 7 was officially discontinued last December, so if you are planning to go hacking you can go to eBay or Craigslist for used devices.

Installing Android 4.0 on the Streak 7 is somewhat complicated, and it's in beta build. There lots of polishing needed. Camera, cellular radios, video acceleration are one of the few things that aren't running. The gallery app won't even recognize SD cards and you cannot mount your Streak 7 as a USB mass storage device when you plugged in into you computer.

You will be pleased to know that the touchscreen is fine as well as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and most of the sensors. Grab the ROM here and install at your risk!
