Eurocom's Nvidia Quadro Notebooks Get 3D Buffering Support

Eurocom has just announced that four of its portable PCs with Nvidia Quadro professional GPUs are now capable of supporting 3D stereoscopic images with the Quad buffering technology. This is offered in the Eurocom Panther 2.0 and 3.0, Racer as well as Neptune notebooks.  The former three models require an external 3D-enabled display, which connects to the notebook through the included DVI-DL port that supports 120Hz 3D signal, while the Neptune model can display 3D images on its own as it's equipped with a 120Hz LED-backlit display and packs a built-in infrared emitter.

The Nvidia Quad buffering technology is supported in various professional Quadro GPUs ranging from the 3000M to the 5010M. These are all offered optionally in Eurocom's laptops.

Aside from Nvidia Quadro graphics cards, Eurocom's notebooks carry either Intel Sandy Bridge or Nehalem architecture and backed by up to 32GB of system memory as well as configurable storage of up to 3.25TB of maximum capacity.

All systems include 17.3-inch screens, except for the 15.6-inch Racer, with 1920×1080 screen resolution. The rest of the feature list includes HDMI, eSATA, and DVI connectivity, one or more USB 3.0 ports, built-in wireless and Gigabit Ethernet.

Adding an Nvidia Quadro 5010 graphics card with Quad 3D buffering support for  Eurocom Panther 3.0 costs the user $2,050, which almost doubles its $2,726 starting price.
