Windows 8 tablets is definitely coming in the second half of 2012. Multiple sources claim that both Acer and Lenovo will be introducing Windows 8 tablets running Intel chipsets in the the third quarter of 2012. The tablets are powered with Windows 8 and Intel Clover Trail platform. The sources claim that the processor will be coming out at the first half of 2012. PC makers are looking more to Clover Trial thanks to performance and power savings.
This isn't the first time that we've heard Clover Trail to come out of the gates in 2012. The new processor is on the Intel Atom processor road map. It's should be an exciting 2012 with the entry of this new OS on the market. Business users are expected to flock to the Wintel tablets, if indeed this news come into fruition.
