Reference Design for 32nm Clover Trail Sighted

Intel is now showing off their reference design on their Clover Trail platform in a 10-inch form factor for the tablet market. Clover Trail is slated in the second half of 2012. They seem to appear with the launch of Windows 8 itself. The reference gadget has 10-pin connector, HDMI and USB ports, microSD slot, and a SIM card module.

Clover Trail processors are designed on 32nm chips and is to replace the Oak Trail line. We won't be able to have a gadget that boasts 22nm Atom processors until 2013. By 2014, we should have 14nm Atom chips at the same time as Inte;'s more powerful processors move to 14nm.

Acer and Lenovo are rumored to be the firs manufacturers to adapt Clover Trail Win 8 tablets.
