One of the latest releases from Asus is the Eee PC X101CH, a 10-inch laptop that weighs only 2.3 pounds. Slimmer than the Eee PC 1025C, it measures 10.3 x 7.1 x 0.86-inch. With these dimensions, comes complete with the standard ports for microphone, headphone, SD card, VGA, and HDMI and has 2 USB ports as well.
Asus Eee PC X101CH notably carries the Intel Atom Cedar Trail chip, the latest update on the Atom Platform released in December 2011. Cedar Trail still has dual-core, hyper-threading in-order architecture, but it boasts of PowerVR SGX 545, which greatly improves the graphics performance and system responsiveness of laptops like the Asus Eee PC X101CH.
This laptop also has 720p HD video output and is capable of handling DirectX 10 graphics. It has a hard disk capacity of 320GB and 1GB of RAM. Battery-wise, the Asus Eee PC X101CH has a capacity of only 4 hours due to its three-cell battery. This is less than half of what other models, such as the 1025C, from the same line from Asus carry.
The Asus Eee PC X101CH will be available for $269 in February. It comes in limited colors: red, white and black matte.
