Cedar Trail Netbooks Won't Be Available This Holiday Season

Netbooks that feature Intel's new Cedar Trail processors were supposed to be available later this year, in the Holiday Season specifically. However it is confirmed in the Tablet and Netbook QA that the Cedar Trail netbooks won't hit the streets this holidays. However, it is believed that the netbooks are going to get shipped in December.

One of the exciting features of the new breed of processors is Intel's Rapid Start Technology. This features introduces a fast boot in devices, a resume from hibernation and then connection to the Internet can be achieved below 7 seconds.  This feature will be a standard on all Ultrabooks and will be an exclusive feature for ultrabooks initially. The Toshiba Z830 will be released on November. The Cedar Trail might be released on December.

Another feature for the Cedar Trail is the Smart connect. It checks web apps every now and then while your computer is sleeping. Meaning, your emails, notifications and other things will be updated as soon as you power up your laptops.

Here is the official feature list of the Cedar Trail processors.
