Archos already has a budget line of tablets, but that does not stop them from releasing a tablets after their company's name. These tablets were already announced back in June. They are due to be released this September. This is the 9th generation of Archos tablets as implied by their model numbers, Archos 80 G9 and 101 G9. Both of these tablets have the same specs. Their only difference is the screen size. The other 80 G9 is an 8-incher with 1024×768 resolution while the 101 is 10.1 inch with 1280×800 resolution. The screen of the 10-incher improved from its previous incarnation but not in the IPS quality. As usual, Archos devices support masive codecs and it is possible that these tablets will have this certain feature.
Both of the tablets share 1.5GHz dual-core TI OMAP processor (Cortex A9), 250GB HDD or 8/16GB SSD, running on Android 3.2, have Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity and EDR and front 720 webcam. Mini HDMI, microSD card and USB support complete their connectivities. The device can run 1080p HD without problems on its HDMI port. Android Market is also supported. 3G is optional but in a form of a dongle. HDD models will be chubbier.
Price range starts at $279 for the 8GB 80G9 and $299 for the 101 G9. The Archos store shown these devices prices with additional $20.
