Kobo has thrown its hat into the cheap ebook reader arena. In fact, the new model known as Kobo Touch with Offers only costs $99.99 in the market. It is anticipated to go on sale in late November or early December this year.
Kobo Touch features include a 6-inch E Ink infrared touchscreen display with 16 levels of grayscale, memory storage of 2GB and a microSD slot. It has a web store and library with WiFi access for downloading ebooks, news feeds as well as magazines. Moreover, this touch reader supports EPUB and PDF formats as well as MOBI, HTML, RTF, CBR and CBZ formats.
Kobo Touch is definitely made for quality and more affordable than even the Kindle since this Kobo product provides users a higher contrast display as well as a faster processor. However, unlike other reader devices, Kobo Touch doesn't have landscape mode, notes and even bookmarks. Nonetheless, you may still enjoy reading in style by choosing from their assorted quilted soft-touch back covers in black, lilac, blue and silver.
