HP Joins Ultrabook Frenzy with Folio 13

HP has now entered the ultrabook fray. The HP Folio 13 DM3 will represent Hewlett Packard in the recently crowded ultrabook market. This laptop is at 0.7″ thin, runs on an ultra-low voltage Intel Core i3-2367M clocked at 1.4GHz or Core i502467 1.6GHz processor. The laptop also runs at 8GB RAM and has 128GB solid state drive.

The Folio also has massive battery life that can withstand up to 9 hours. The resolution is at 1366×768, there is a USB 3.0 port as well as the USB 2.0 port, HDMI connectivity, memory card slot and Wi-Fi. Ethernet port is also included, this connectivity is mission on some other ultrabook models. The Folio's audio is Dolby-certified.

 

HP Folio 13 DM3 UltrabookThe design of this ultrabook is conservative, with business users in mind. The palm rests as well as the lid have brushed metal finish. The bottom is black and also rubberized. The island-style keyboard is also backlit. The touchpad is one-piece. The HP Folio also has a removable panel on the bottom for RAM upgrades.

There is also an advanced security for measures for the Folio as it include optionally a TPM module. The HP Folio 13 is expected to hit the market on the 7th of December. Its base price is around $900.
