When we hear the word "tablet", most of us would initially think of sophisticated device with amazing specs and features. There are only a few tablets that are designed for a single purpose.

The Verge, a technology-focused news publication, got hold of a leaked photo of a 6-inch Android 2.3 tablet codenamed "Corvair" by Motorola. The device is said to be in testing with cable companies. The device is also referred as "dedicated controller". It also seems to show that the tablet is wirelessly displaying its entire UI on the TV, so it maybe safe to say that it can be used to watch and stream content in addition to serving as a remote control for one of Motorola's cable boxes.

No information on the specs and detailed features yet but it is said that the design is "optimized for low cost," so that would mean we should not expect anything high-end. It has an IR controller and may also work as an RF remote control. It also has a 4,000 mAh battery which should give you weeks of channel surfing considering its not a full tablet.
