Netbooks are great portable devices. The problem with being portable is that you're limited by your power supply. Recharging on the road can be a bit difficult. No one likes a socket hog, after all. Thankfully, Toshiba figured that out and in their upcoming new netbook, they will be utilizing a fast-charging SCIB battery. Early reports peg it at 90% recharge after only 10 minutes of power consumption. With that speed, it would probably be fully charged in less than 15 minutes. Definitely a time-saver.
This isn't just the netbook's only feature. It will be ultra-light weight, weighing less than 1 kilogram after having a 512GB solid-state hard drive installed. Powered by an Intel Core CPU of your choice, it will also feature the new USB 3.0 technology just released. No word on any release dates yet – but the price tag will probably be high considering all the new hi-tech stuff packed in.
