If Litl had introduced the Webbook at $399 in the first place, maybe this 12 inch notebook with a custom, widget-based operating system would be a household name by now. Oh yeah, I meant to say if Litl had introduced the Webbook at $399 in 2007. As it is, the company launched the Webbook for $699 last year and didn't make a very big splash in the crowded thin, light, and cheap laptop space.
Now Litl has slashed the price almost by half. You can pick up a Litl Webbook today for $399 — or you can pick up two, for exactly twice the price. While that's definitely a much more palatable price, it's still a tough sell when you can pick up a number of Windows 7-based netbooks and notebooks for under $400.
At least we learned recently that the Webbook will support HD Flash video. So that's umm… something.
