Analyst Say, iPad Will Not Cause a Dent on the Netbook Market

We got to admit that there is still an ongoing debate that centers on the iPad vs netbook issue.  For netbook manufacturers, this analysis by ABI researcher Jeff Orr could somehow appease their anxieties over the growing success being reaped by iPad.

Jeff  Orr predicts that the availability and sales of the iPad will not even put a significant dent to netbook sales.  He said that the iPad needs to have at least 40 to 50 million units sold before it reaches netbook's status of being a consumer mass market device. Right now, the iPad is an electronics consumer device, Orr said. He also said that the iPad is not and will not going to be a netbook replacement or a complimentary device just like smartphones are.
