Kids Computers Releases the Classmate Netbooks for Kids

Alright folks. I'm pretty sure you have kids who always stare at you whenever you use your netbook. Your kids are probably waiting for you to give them the go signal to use your precious netbooks. But if you don't want to lend them your netbook, why not just buy them one? But if you're afraid that they just might break the netbooks easily – you're best bet would be the Kids Classmate netbook for Kids, from K through 12 students.

Released by KidComputers.com, the Kids Classmate is an all-purpose tablet netbook with 10.1 inch touchscreen interface in a clamshell and tablet design. It is equipped with the usual standard netbook stuff such as 1.66GHz Intel Atom CPU, 1GB of RAM, 160GB HDD, Ethernet and Wi-Fi plus an ArcSoft Webcam in case you're kids are into video chatting already.

What's good about the Kids Classmate netbook that makes it perfect for kids is the fact that it allows your kids to scrawl and draw on the touchscreen as if they were drawing on a paper using a pen. The Kids Classmate Tablet PC also feature a swiveling screen that allows your kids to alternatve between the traditional keyboard mode and a tablet mode.

The Kids Classmate tablet netbook is available now for $649. Kind of pricey for a netbook but hey it's built to sustain heavy usage (and damage) from manhandling of kids.
