Very few major manufacturers have fallen in with VIA in terms of netbook production, maybe even none at all. Some recent news though hints at VIA pushing hard to include its low-powered chips in the next models of netbooks.
DNAIndia recently had an article referencing the VIA VX900 which talks about Lenovo and even Samsung going ahead and releasing netbooks based on the chip by June 2010. Given the ties most netbook makers have with Intel and to a lesser extent AMD, this move is intriguing. Maybe it's not netbooks but smartbooks that will house this chip?
In any case, this is some good press for VIA. Let's just hope that they work well with these netbooks when they come out.
