Intel's Paul Otellini made a few dreams come true by announcing that the company will soon be rolling out dual core Atom processors for netbook some time in the next couple of months. There have been rumors in this regard but nothing has been confirmed until now.
Though not much details on the new CPU have been given, it's likely going to have just a small bit of a speed boost compared to the regular single core Pine Trails. You will likely see better performance from multitasking with dual cores versus single cores but for everything else, it's a safe bet to stick to the regular old single core processors.
