MSI Wind U135 Tested, Compared with Eee PC 1005PE

The latest MSI netbook with the new Intel Atom N450 processor was just announced yesterday and here comes our friends from Laptopmag already publishing their first impressions of the MSI Wind U135.

So, I won't sulk in envy over the fact that these guys are really lucky for getting their hands-on new netbooks faster than all of us can, and just give you highlights of their review.

When evaluting the MSI Wind U135, the laptopmag crew couldn't help but compare it with the Eee PC 1005PE its closest rival. The Eee PC 1005PE costs $379 while the Wind U135 costs $329.

The $50 difference can very well speak of the two netbook's battery prowess. The MSI Wind U135 was proven to max out only around 5 hours of usage, while the Eee PC 1005PE can give more.

Aside from the price point, the two netbooks also have similar keyboards with both having single mouse bar.

Bottomline is, both the Eee PC 1005PE and MSI Wind U135 are almost similar in performance.  But if you don't mind paying extra $50 for longer battery life, the Eee PC 1005PE is your best bet. Otherwise, you'd be better off with the MSI Wind U135.
