MSI to showcase Pine Trail nettops at CES

MSI Wind Top AP1900 (w/Atom N270 CPU)

Next generation netbooks with Intel Atom Pine Trail processors have been hogging the headlines for the last few days. But it's not just mini-laptops that are getting the Pine Trail treatment. New mini-desktops (or nettops) and all-in-one computers will also be powered by the new Intel Atom D410 single core and D510 dual core processors. And PC maker MSI plans to have a few of each to show off at CES in January.

Here's a brief rundown of what we know so far:

MSI Wind Top AP1920 all-in-one PC

This all-in-one desktop will have an 18.5 inch display and measure just 1.4 inches thick. The screen will have an adjustable angle and the entire computer can be wall-mounted. The Wind Top AP1920 will be available with an Atom D510 or D410 processor.

MSI Wind Box DE220

This mini-desktop will be available with a single or dual core Atom Pine Trail processor. This is the smaller model, which MSI describes as "about the size of a sheet of A4 paper). It can be mounted on the back of a computer monitor or HDTV to turn any display into a sort of all-in-one desktop.

MSI Wind Box DC500

The company says the DC500 is 60% smaller than a conventional desktop. It's more than twice the size of the DE220 though, and is designed to stand on a desktop, not to be mounted behind a display. This model will also be available with a single or dual core processor.
