System builder Jetway doesn't generally sell computers under its own name. That probably explains why the company's latest barebones nettop has such an awkward name: The JBC230C63P-330D-W. Odds are that if this PC ever hits the streets it will be repackaged and sold under a different brand name from a computer company you have heard of.
That said, the JBC230… the nettop is a pretty nice looking entry into the mini-desktop space. It has NVIDIA ION graphics and a dual core Intel Atom 330 CPU and comes with a remote control. It features a heatsink and a few fans, but the folks at TweakTown found the nettop to be pretty quiet anyway.
Jetway sent them a demo unit to review, and TweakTown has posted an unboxing video, which you can check out below.
Bear in mind, this computer is a barebones system. That means it comes sans RAM, hard drive, and operating system. There's clearly no final word on pricing. But here's what you do get: HDMI VGA, and DVI outputs, a total of 8 USB ports (2 on the front, 6 on the back), and room for an optical disc drive.
While there are certainly smaller NVIDIA ION-based nettops available, the Jetway model looks like a rather versatile little box that could work pretty well as a home theater PC or a low power desktop.
