RIM announced a little while back that an LTE equipped BlackBerry PlayBook was in the works and we've also seen it pass through the FCC. We now have a release date for the LTE BlackBerry PlayBook, for Canada anyway. Over at Mobilesyrup, the guys have got their hands on a screenshot showing the release information for the BlackBerry PlayBook. The screenshot shows that the tablet is due to go on sale in Canada July 31st and will be priced at $549.95 CA.
The BlackBerry Playbook will only come in a 32GB variant and features a 7 inch display, 1.5GHz dual core processor, 1GB of RAM and runs BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0. The tablet is also equipped with two cameras. Round the back we have a 5 megapixel camera, while the front facing camera is 3 megapixels.
