With all the rumors surrounding a Kindle Fire 2 to Amazon, it's left some wondering what will happen to the original Kindle Fire? Will Amazon kill it off, or go down the same route as Apple and reduce keep the old and new available to purchase but, the older model selling at a reduced price?
According to DealNews, it's likely that Amazon will keep the Kindle Fire when the Kindle Fire 2 is released instead of dropping it altogether. As Amazon are likely to price the new Kindle Fire also at $200, a price drop for the original is most likely on the cards. We could see the Kindle Fire drop to $169, making a saving of 15%.
