Jelly Bean unofficially available of Kindle Fire

Google have recently announced the next version of Android which is most commonly known as Jelly Bean, or Android 4.1. Currently the only tablet that Android Jelly Bean is available on is Google's own tablet the Nexus 7. That hasn't stopped modders from installing Android 4.1 on other devices though. The folks over at XDA-Developers have managed to load Android Jelly Bean on to Amazon's Kindle Fire.

As with all unofficial ROMs, loading this on your Kindle Fire will void your warranty and there is a small risk of bricking your Kindle Fire. However, if you're more than happy to have a go at installing the latest version of Android on your Kindle Fire, you can head on over here to download the files. At the moment there are still bugs. Video playback isn't great and there are reports of issues with Wi-Fi working.
