Starline NB1000 Netbook Has a Hidden Touchpad

A netbook with a hidden touchpad. Quite the interesting concept.

Netbook manufacturer Starline has designed a netbook that has such a hidden touchpad. The touchpad is located is in the palm rest area of the device, but the company did not originally design the netbook with this in mind.

Other than the touchpad though, the NB1000 netbook is pretty typical of such a machine, with a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor, 1 GB of RAM, a 160 GB hard drive, Ethernet, 3 USB ports, and VGA.

The touchpad is slickly integrated into the netbook, but the NB1000's keyboard may not necessarily be a crowd pleaser. The right shift key is relatively small and the home/end keys are in unusual places.

The price of the netbook is not bad though. It's currently on sale in Hong Kong for HK$2,498, or $322 USD.
