Meego isn't exactly the hottest thing right now. Having it's thunder stolen by iOS and Android, things are looking pretty grim for this scrappy little OS.
As an indication of this growing malaise for this OS, Fujitsu's recent release of the first Meego-powered netbook isn't exactly being trumpeted the world-over. It's not as if Fujitsu put any effort into it though – the company just plugged the OS into one of their LifeBook MH330 model. Featuring a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N455 ultraportable CPUwith 1GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive and a 10.1-inch 1024 x 600 LED-backlit screen, Fujitsu only added a few bells-and-whisteles to take advantage of some Meego hardware features. One good thing about it is that it boots up pretty fast though, thanks to Meego.
Anyway, it's a run-of-the-mill netbook, costing around the usual $400. Pretty nice but I suspect everyone will probably go for something with more "oomph".
