Gigabyte Shows Off An Upgraded Netbook

More offering for the new year! Taiwanese manufacturer Gigabyte has upgraded one of its Booktop netbooks. The Gigabyte M1005 will feature a 1.5GHz Intel Atom N550 dual core CPU.

Because of its inclusion in the Booktop line, it the M1005 will be able to use a docking station pictured above and you can use it like a real desktop computer. Just plug-in whenever at home and you don't have to worry about shifting to an actual desktop PC.

Other specs include a 10.1 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display, 1GB of memory, up to 320GB of HDD storage, 3 USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet and audio jacks, a webcam, and a memory card reader. For connectivity,  it can access 802.11b/g/n WiFi or Bluetooth 3.0. The docking station itself adds 3 USB ports, Ethernet, mic, headphone, and D-sub jacks.

Very impressive and will be an interesting purchase for next year.
