NEC shows off a 7 inch mini-laptop with Tegra 2

Charbax from ARMDevices spotted something I missed at CES last week: A 7 inch netbook with an NVIDIA Tegra 2 chip from NEC. The little guy has a full QWERTY keyboard as well as special keys for Android functions such as Hme, Back, and Menu. The screen also features a resistive touch panel.

That said, the keyboard looks awfully cramped, and the Android function keys are kind of awkwardly placed for buttons you're likely to use quite a bit. Still, the little laptop is pretty nifty looking, and the Tegra 2 chipset makes it quite snappy — at least for launching and switching between applications.

The prototype runs Android 2.2 and weighs about 1.3 pounds. It's not clear if or when it will be launched as a real product.

You can check out the ARMDevices video after the break.
