HTC Ready To Jump In The Tablet Fray?

HTC maybe better known for its smartphones, but it seems they want to branch out. Early reports are coming out that the company is planning to release three tablets in the first half of 2011. No surprise though – the tablet market is booming and smartphones are pretty much just shrunken tablets with phone functionality.

The first tablet that will supposedly come out from HTC will be called the Flyer. Running Google Android 2.3 and to be launched with an option to upgrade to Android 3.0 Honeycomb eventually. Supposedly an HTC partner will be offering it as part of a package deal. Early reports peg the tablet as n upgrade of HTC's Desire smartphone.

The next two tablet will be released after Honeycomb gets released. No details on those yet though.
