Series 3 Laptop From Samsung Beats Up Netbooks

Samsung's newest Series 3 laptop may look like a netbook but make no mistake – this baby can eat those pansies for breakfast.

The Samsung 350U2B packs a 12 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel display and a 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5-2410M processor. This is backed by 4GB of RAM and a 500GB hard drive. Additional features include 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, 2 USB ports, a VGA port, and an Ethernet jack. The laptop comes with Windows 7 Home Premium. And right now it's on sale from Buy.com for $735. It's also available at other retailers but this is the cheapest you can get it.

So why buy it when I can get a netbook for half the price? Well, because it's got better resolution, a better processor, HDMI output, and a comfortably large keyboard. You don't even lose out on the portability factor – it's only 3 pounds and fits comfortably in one hand.

Better try it out if you have the cash.
