In such a weird news, an Acer notebook, Aspire 5749, will run Meego. It will be paired with a 2.1GHz Core 1.3 processor. It seems like the processor is too overpowered for the limitations of Meego. Acer contradicted itself when it announced it will only issue the mobile operating system to Atom-based netbooks. The Aspire 5749 is a 15-incher with 1366×768 display. It weights at about 6lbs and measuring 34mm in thickness. It is currently listed at Amazon.de with a price tag of 400 Euros ($577). This laptop comes with 4GB DDR3 RAM, have 500GB of storae and Intel GMA 300. This laptop comes with a DVD burner, three USB ports, 2-in-1 card reader and Wi-Fi connectivity.
