Following on from the release of the Asus Eee PC 1201K in Italy, Asus have released another 12 inch netbook, this time in Germany. Like the 1201K, the Eee PC 1215T comes with an AMD processor. However the CPU in the 1215T is more up to date than the AMD Geode. The Asus Eee PC 1215T is equipped with an AMD Athlon II Neo K125 1.7GHz processor. This is the same processor chip which is found in the Dell Inspiron M101z and the Acer Aspire One 721.
It offers pretty decent performance and usually comes bundled with an ATI Radeon HD graphics chip, which would make the netbook capable of HD video playback. As of yet though, there's no information on whether the Eee PC 1215T comes with the Radeon graphics chipset but, it's very likely that it does as the listing for the netbook says the 1215T has an HDMI output.
As well as the 12 inch display, it also comes with Windows 7 Home Premium, a 250GB hard drive and 2GB of DDR3 RAM. It isn't in stock at the moment but, will cost consumers €445 Euros, which is about $566.
