Let's face it… it's hard to make a 10 inch netbook stand out from the crowd. There are dozens of netbooks with glossy or matte lids, island-style or traditional keyboards, and a standard set of ports around the edges. Sure, we're starting to see some variation in specs, with some models toting dual core processors or AMD chips instead of Intel. But on the outside, they tend to look a lot alike.
Then there's this special edition Acer Aspire One 521 netbook… covered in crocodile skin.
I can't imagine there will be much demand for this particular version of the Aspire One 521, especially since it strikes an awkward balance between ostentatious and ugly. I also doubt it will be cheap. But who knows? The folks at nDevil who spotted the laptop at IFA in Germany didn't manage to get a price for the netbook.
The leather finish, by the way, covers the lid, palm rest, and areas around the keyboard, display, and battery. The keyboard and most of th ebase of the netbook are mercifully made of black plastic.
