The Acer Aspire One Happy is an upcoming 10 inch netbook from Acer that appears to be a rebranded version of the Acer Aspire One D255. The main difference is that the Happy comes in bright pastel colors — and oh yeah, it has slightly more ridiculous name. But Peter at Netbook News spotted another interesting tidbit about the Happy on the Acer support site: It will have drivers for HD media processors from Broadcom and Quartics.
It's not clear if this means the Happy will come with a Broadcom Crystal HD video accelerator or Quartics QVU video processor — but it looks like the netbook will at least support these devices and some models may ship with them preinstalled.
Peter notes that the Acer Aspire One D255 netbook with a dual core Atom N550 processor also has drives for the Quartics and Broadcom chips, while no other Acer netbooks do.
There's still no word on a launch date or pricing for the Happy.
