We first heard of the Asus Eee PC 1201K back in June. Not much has changed specs wise but, we now have release and pricing information. The Eee PC 1201K has been released in Italy and is available for €328.99. This converts to around $425 which may seem a bit steep to some US consumers but, Liliputing point out that the Asus Eee PC 1201K, is actually one of the lowest priced 12 inch Eee PCs in Italy.
It seems that the 1201K is a budget model, which is evident from the specs as well. It comes with Windows XP as the operating system, where as most new netbooks come with Windows 7. The processor is also rather outdated. Again, most netbooks feature an Intel Atom 1.6GHz processor, where as the 1201K opts for an older AMD Geode 1.4GHz processor.
Other specs include a 160GB hard drive, 1GB of RAM and the screen size is 12.1 inch, which supports the 1366×768 resolution, which is becoming increasingly popular on netbooks and mini PCs with displays over 11 inches, as well as 14 and 15 inch notebooks.
