Gigabyte is joining netbook manufacturers who are taking the easier route to adapting Windows 7 on their netbooks. Instead of coming up with new netbooks, Gigabyte is updating it's older netbooks to run Windows 7 Starter Edition.
According to Gigabyte Japan, there will be two netbooks who will be preloaded with Windows 7 Starter, the M1022X and T1028X netbooks.
The Gigabyte M1022X is a a remodeled version of the previously released M1022M. It features 10.1-inch display (1366×768), 6-cell battery with up to 8 hours battery life, Intel Atom N280 Processor, 1GB of RAM, 160GB HDD, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GMA 950 graphics chipset.
Gigabyte Japan has announced refreshed versions of their Gigabyte netbook lineup (2 of the 3) with Windows 7 Starter.
The other Windows 7 netbook is the T1028x tablet convertible with 10.1-inch touchscreen, 1GB of RAM, 160GB HDD, 1.3MP webcam, Bluetooth, 6-cell battery.
The Gigabyte M1028X is available now in Japan for $738 while the T1028X is available for $804.
